Chairman – Tahirjan Karimov

Tahirjan has practiced Judo since his childhood.  He established A1 Judo club in July 2009. He moved from his native Bishek, the capital city of Kyrgyzstan, to London in 1998. British Judo’s London Development Manager, Karen French, cites the judoka’s drive as one of the main reasons for his success.

 

Head Coach – Tahmina Karimova

Head Coach and eldest daughter of Tahirjan, Tahmina has carved a reputation within judo for developing Judo for youngsters and encouraging growth by implementing Women only classes.  Pictured (left) offering words of advice to A1 Judoka at a competition.  She gives alot of her time to developing coaching within the A1 judo club.
